Johan Fourie is a professor of economics and history at the University of Stellenbosch.
Fourie teaches economic history to undergraduate and graduate students and writes frequently on the topic, either by contributing to research or for a more popular audience, as a columnist and blogger.

Experts say California farmland values remained relatively stable during the past year, despite the impacts of dry weather, the COVID-19 pandemic and frequently lower crop prices. Record agricultural exports are contributing to favorable economic conditions for the U.S. farm sector.
